Hello,
I bought this switch some days ago: SW11-2EU (https://fr.athom.tech/blank-1/eu-touch-switch-2-gang)
I have 2 problems with them:
- First problem: After a lot of testing, one of my switches is not working anymore. When I powers it, the Power2 led is RED, the wifi LED blinks at startup and then stay off and the bulb attached to the switch turns on and off at ~1 second interval endless.
How can I reset the switch in order to recoverit ?
I've tried cycling power on/off 7 times as explained in Tasmota documentation, but it didn't work.
- Second problem: I'm unable to get these switches working in "2way" mod. I would like 2 switches being able to poweron/off the same light from different locations.
I think I cannot use Tasmota rules because I need my switches to be powered for this to work and currently if one of my switch is OFF, the other has no power.
I have tried cascading the switches (SwitchA: L=Phase input from power --> L1=connection to "L" of switchB --> SwitchB: L=connection from SwitchA --> L1=phase output to light) but it didn't work either. (there is a capacitor on the light) Should I use an additionnal capacitor for the "connection" between the cascaded switches ?
Thank you for your help
Best regards
Boa noite, tive um problema parecido, carreguei nos dois power ao mesmo tempo por 8 segundos e fiz toda a configuração novamente e resolveu, espero que ajude
Hello,
Thank you for the answer, but I don't really see what you mean by "I loaded both power at the same time for 8 seconds" (maybe this is a translation issue on my side thoughts)
I talked with the Athom customer service at Aliexpress (where I bought my switches) and they said that 2 way is not already supported on this kind of switches.
It should be available on a future product, still in development. They wasn't able to tell me when it will be released, but they started working on it.
For my personal case, I think I will go with this solution:
- Connected switch A in place of a 2 gang traditionnal switch.
- Switch A power1 is controlling a simple gang "lightA" with no neutral (so that it remains powered)
- Switch B power2 is connected to the "lightB" that was previously controlled by several X gangs traditionnal switches.
- Connected switch B in place of a traditionnal Xgang switch
- Reused the original "shuttle bus" wires of the Xgang traditionnal switches to send "Neutral" power to switchB in addition to the already existing "Phase" wire (so that switchB is powered, but it is not connected to any light)
- Used a Tasmota rule on switchB to make switchA/power2 replicate the power1#state of switchB (some kind of master/satellite setup)
- If I need aditionnal switches to control the "lightB", I would reproduce all the "switchB" steps for switchC, switchD, etc...
Hope it will work
Best regards
