ESPHome API error msg

I get the following error msg when installing a config file:

INFO Starting log output from athom-presence-sensor-9bd2df.local using esphome API WARNING Can't connect to ESPHome API for athom-presence-sensor-9bd2df.local: Error resolving IP address: [Errno -5] No address associated with hostname (APIConnectionError)

Any ideas why this error is occuring> The install continues to completions without any other problems.
